We had a great weekend at Missouri Association of Fairs & Festivals.  We met some top-notch people and got some great bookings.  The highlight of the weekend was getting to share the stage with my 12 year old son, Jacob.  He joined us for our last song at our showcase, and he did an amazing job.   He was definitely a rock star for the day.  Check it out…

Radio Interview – Brian Sowers, myself, & Scott Welch

Looking forward to a great weekend in Columbia, MO.  I’ll be there  with Variety Attractions – working on booking some fairs for our summer schedule.  The band and I have the opportunity to play at a showcase on Saturday – we are all really looking forward to it.  Jacob, my 12-year old, will be joining in on the last song as he plays keyboard for us.  I’m pretty sure I’m more excited than he is.  You’d think he would be nervous – not at all…

Scott Welch and I stopped in at KMMO radio in Marshall, MO this morning on our way to the trade show.  Had a great time there – super nice folks.  They were very gracious.  We’re hoping for a great weekend!

Took my middle son to the MU/KU “Border War” yesterday at Arrowhead Stadium.  Although I’m not a huge sports fan, Lucas is a football lover, through and through.  (Not sure where that came from…) It was our turn to have a day by ourselves, and this is what he picked for us to do.  Amazing game and amazing day with him.

Had the opportunity to be a part of a new program called, “Music From the Back Room.”  It is a program that promotes local Kansas City musicians and their original music.  We taped our “episode” on Monday.  The show should start airing episodes after the first of the year on one of the Kansas City stations.  Watch for us the first part of February!  We’ll let you know more details as we find them out ourselves.

Well, Jake and I made it back from a great trip to Nashville.  Had the opportunity to work with an amazing group of musicians in the studio on Monday.We think this new song, “John Deere to John 3:16″ is going to really fit our audience.  It truly is my story.  I’ll be singing it this weekend at both venues.  If you’re in the area, come take a listen and let me know what you think!
